Goal
Goal
Empower you to do it by yourself.Â
Activity
Explaining concepts, whiteboarding ideas, reviewing your work, asking guiding questions, providing feedback.Â
Hands-on
The best way to learn is for you to have your hands on the keyboard. You might screen-share to point things out.Â
Deliverable
Increased knowledge and confidence. You can have session notes or a learning plan.Â
Responsibility
You are 100% responsible for the outcome and implementation.Â
Certification Path Mentoring
Scope: A structured program (10 sessions, 1 hour each) to prepare for a certification like AWS Solutions Architect or CCNA. Provide you with a study plan, explain difficult concepts, run mock question drills, and review their understanding.
Boundary: There is no guarantee you will pass, but I guarantee to provide the expert guidance to help you prepare.
Concept Deep-Dive
Scope: One-off or recurring sessions focused on a specific topic you want to master (e.g., "Understanding BGP," "Mastering AWS IAM," "Terraform for Networking"). The session is purely educational.
Boundary: Teaching the concept, but won't design specific IAM policy or BGP configuration. We can use your problem as a case study to explain concepts.
Architecture Review
Scope: A design or architecture you have already created. In the session, I could be your senior peer. I will review your diagram/document and ask guiding questions like:
"Have you considered the security implications of this public subnet?"
"What is your strategy for high availability here?"
"Can you walk me through why you chose this EC2 instance type?"
Boundary: I provide feedback and point out potential pitfalls based on my experience. I won't create the design document for you or tell you "You must do X." I'll guide you to your own improved solution.
Code & Configuration Review
Scope: You shares your screen showing Terraform code, CloudFormation code, a router config, or a script you wrote. I will review it you, and will explaining best practices, pointing out potential errors, and teaching you why a certain approach could be better.
Boundary: I won't write or debug the code for you. I'll guide you in debugging it by yourself.Â
